There was something incredibly grounding about Danielle and Mark’s wedding day at Northfork Farm. Nothing about the day felt rushed or overly performative. Instead, it unfolded slowly and intentionally, centered around the people who matter most to them and the family they’ve built together.

From the beginning of the morning, the atmosphere felt calm in the best kind of way. The kind of calm that allows people to actually be present with one another. Danielle spent the morning surrounded by her daughters and closest family members, and throughout the entire day there was this overwhelming sense of warmth woven into every interaction.

Nestled into the quiet countryside of Central Illinois, Northfork Farm provided such a beautiful backdrop for the day. The property has a softness to it — open fields, weathered textures, pockets of light filtering through the trees — that photographs beautifully without ever feeling distracting from the people within it. One of my favorite parts of the day was incorporating the horses at Northfork Farm into some of their portraits. There was something so timeless about those images — Danielle’s gown moving softly through the fields, the quietness of the farm in the background, and the stillness that settled in as the sun began to disappear. The portraits felt effortless in a way that reflected the entire atmosphere of the day.
